BUCKLEY 1892, By Nancy Irene Hall and Steve Meitzler, 1992, 104 pages, 8½ x 11, 65 illustrations, Indexed. This is the story of Buckley, Washington in 1892 as taken from the pages of the Buckley New Banner, published by Coke Ewing and Will Clogston. It chronicles the events of this pioneer town in an interesting and humorous manner. The book tells a few pre-1892 stories, like the May 1891 train wreck at the Buckley end of the trestle across the White River where several of the people got soused scooping up and drinking the wine from the broken casks. Lots of small-town events, including the burning of the business block are told.
